Welcome, fellow passionate artists!

 

I'm Lauren Kisich, and I am a professional Character Animator, Character Designer, Illustrator, and Graphic Artist, with extensive artistic experience and a keen eye for design and details. I recently graduated from the School of Film and Television with a Bachelor's Degree in Animation/Studio Arts Minor at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles--where I was one of only fifteen students selected to be a part of the ambitious and renowned Animation program. Not only have I produced animated projects for the screen, but I also have utilized my intensive animation knowledge and skills to areas within Consumer Products and Merchandising. Currently, I steer creative direction as the official Illustrator for Jimmy Buffett's worldwide Margaritaville brand, creating original and exclusive animated designs that you can now see on Margaritaville merchandise in restaurants, retail stores, casinos, and resorts across the globe. My distinctive animation style and eye-catching designs can also be seen in music videos and social media content for entertainers and musical groups, as well as their merchandise--ranging from rising rock stars in the heart of Los Angeles to internationally-celebrated tributes to The Beatles.

 

To give you a little backstory: Ever since I could hold a pencil, I've been drawing to my heart's content. Born and raised in Pasadena, California, I have grown up in a community that bumps shoulders with the entertainment industry. From childhood to today, I continue to enjoy watching animated shows and films, ranging from the original Warner Brothers "Looney Tunes" shorts, to Disney's "The Lion King", to Hasbro's "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic", and even to Sylvain Chomet's "The Triplets of Belleville". On the other hand, if you wanted a general idea of my live action interests, ABC's "Castle", Marvel's numerous superhero films, BBC's "Doctor Who", and Disney's "Pirates" saga are just a tip of the iceberg. I suppose it is safe to say that television and the movies are my life.

 

I have also grown up in the midst of a heavily gamers-based generation, so video games and a fascination with interactive arts have been, together, another prominent aspect of my life since my early days of PC and console gaming. From "Kingdom Hearts" and "Ratchet and Clank", to more recent indie sensations like the "Five Nights at Freddy's" series, I always enjoy some free time spent revisiting or trying new games.
